Midfielder Joey Barton has today been released from Burnley, just a month after being banned from football.
Joey Barton, 34, was banned from for a total of 18 months football activites in April after admitting to FA charges in relation to betting.
After joining Burnley for a second spell in January 2017, after a failed time at Scottish Premiership side Rangers he played a number of matches for Burnley.
Barton is one of three players that have been released from Burnley this summer.
The others being Michael Kightly and on loan defender Jon Flanagan.
Manager Sean Dyche stated: "Joey leaves us for the obvious reasons after he has again been a big part of what we have achieved this season.
