Steve Burr leaves Conference side Kidderminster Harriers

Manager Steve Burr has left Conference Premier side Kidderminster Harriers.

The 53-year-old, who took charge in January 2010, has departed with them lying seventh in the table, outside the play-offs on goal difference.

Last season, the former Stalybridge manager guided the club to a second-placed finish, before losing to Wrexham in the play-off semi-final.

And in November, Burr held talks with Forest Green over their managerial vacancy, but rejected the move.

"Everybody at the club would like to place on record its unreserved thanks to Steve for his efforts whilst in post," a statement read.

"The board of directors would like to state explicitly again that its sole ambition for this season is to achieve promotion back to the Football League and that they are fully committed to taking whatever step necessary to reach that goal."
