This Sunday, Sheffield United’s FA Cup Campaign will be supported by their new sponsor MBUZZ, the leading Saudi technology, media & telecoms group.
Thanks to a deal brokered by Sports Revolution, the sports marketing group, the famous red and white striped shirts will feature the MBUZZ name and logo.
As Nigel Clough's team head to Wembley Stadium for their semi-final tie with Hull City, backed by 32,500 fans, they will also have the support of the Saudi mobile infrastructure group which brings the latest technologies and services to major multinational mobile operators across the Middle East.
This is one of the first deals brokered by the newly formed Sports Revolution Arabia, based in Dubai in order to serve the Arab World. Its chief executive Martin Copus said: "The MBUZZ sponsorship is further evidence of the fresh thinking coming out of this part of the world, and the truly global nature of sport at all levels."
Like Sheffield United this season, MBUZZ has made a habit of punching above its weight - and is delighted to have made its first association with football.
Referencing Prince Abdullah Al Saud's co-ownership of the Club, Chairman Mr Nasser Al Sayari said: "We're proud to be able to extend the Saudi connection with Sheffield United."He added: "Sheffield United's recent resurgence in the league and exciting cup run has not gone unnoticed in Riyadh - where football is the country's number one passion, and English football especially. We hope our involvement will contribute in some way towards the Club's continuing success and its return to former glories."
