Tunbridge Wells Football Club has agreed a new sponsorship deal with the local Hyundai dealer.
The non league club reached the final of the FA Vase Trophy last season, and club chairman Clive Maynard is glad the new deal can help the club move forward as they aim for promotion from the Southern Counties East League.
He said: “The club has made no secret of its desire to be promoted this year, in order for us to do that we need a greater level of income from all of our activities whether that’s from advertising, sponsorship or people through the gates.”
Dean Stoner, general manager at Hyundai Tunbridge Wells, said of the deal: “The deal is done on an annual rolling basis, with the expectation of lasting three years. The opportunity came up to be the club’s main sponsor so we were quite happy to take the next step with them, since their success."
“We like to support things in the local community. Rather than just give them a lump of money we want to build some more community things and see how we can both mutually benefit.”
He added: “We are putting together building blocks that will hopefully take us forward. All of these are small steps towards the bigger aim which is promotion.
“We believe we have got a little bit of momentum.”
