eNewsletter
Leicestershire based Hinckley United are on the brink of extinction after almost 100 years in existence. The club is believed to owe in the region of £200,000 and liquidation looks the likliest outcome.

An official statement on the club's website said:

'Further to the winding up petition issued by the Downes Executive Pension Fund against Hinckley United Football Club Limited, the directors attended the court hearing at Birmingham today where the winding up petition was granted.

The board would like to thank it's supporters, sponsors and shareholders for their support in these sad and difficult times.

There will be a further statement later today'

The update will not now appear until Tuesday according to the website.
