FIFA Women's World Cup gains new sponsorship from Canadian Brewery

FIFA and the National Organising Committee have announced  a new sponsorship agreement with Labatt Breweries of Canada for the Women's World Cup in 2015.

Labatt is the second National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™. The agreement provides Labatt with extensive marketing rights within Canada for the next edition of the flagship tournament in women’s football, set to take place in Canada from 6 June to 5 July, 2015.

Labatt has a strong history of supporting football in Canada, with existing team partnerships in Vancouver and Toronto. This sponsorship provides Labatt the opportunity to tap into the energy surrounding the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, with exciting fan activations set to be at the core of Labatt’s work.

Thierry Weil, FIFA’s Marketing Director.“We’re delighted to welcome Labatt as the second National Supporter for the FIFA Women’s World Cup."

“We saw from the last edition of the event in Germany just how important the support of national companies is to the success of the event and are happy to see the commitment of leading Canadian companies such as Labatt. We’re looking forward to working together on the road to 2015.”

Jonathan Ritter, Head of Media, Sports and Entertainment, Labatt Breweries of Canada said, “Labatt is committed to supporting football at a global level. Our partnership with FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 is important in the evolution of our commitment to the sport."

“We look forward to harnessing the excitement of fans across Canada to ensure they enjoy each and every game during the tournament.”

Labatt is the second company to sign up as a National Supporter of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, following mobile telecommunications company Bell. In total, six National Supporter slots are available for the event.
