FA Cup tickets for Shortwood's first round home tie against League One outfit Port Vale will go on sale on Tuesday night for home fans with Port Vale set to make an announcement on Sunday. The Non-League side famously beat Conference side Aldershot Town in last Tuesday's replay.

The game is live in front of the BT Sport cameras on Monday 11th November and the Calor Gas League side, who are the lowest ranking team left in the competition can only accommodate around 1,000 fans at their neat but tiny ground.

Former Forest Green operations director Colin Peake, who met Vale officials at the ground on Saturday, is overseeing match arrangements for the Nailsworth side's biggest game in their 113-year history.

The Vale contingent were more than happy with arrangements and the pitch is in tip top condition. The club have postponed other schedule games before the 11th to ensure the playing surface is protected.

Home match tickets will go on sale to the public at 7pm on Tuesday, November 5 at the Shortwood Clubhouse.

Fans will be required to show proof of identity (bank card etc) and proof of address (utility bill / bank or credit card statement) in the same name to purchase a maximum allocation of two tickets. (For security reasons there will be no exceptions to this rule).

Ticket price is £15, with no concessions. Payment may be made by cash or cheque with bank card. We cannot accept credit card payment.

For more details fans can visit shortwoodfc@btinternet.com. On match-day, there will be no parking at the ground. There will be a free park and ride system in operation; times and location will be advised nearer to the date of the match. No tickets will be available on match day.
