West Ham United have completed the signing of England striker Carroll from Liverpool for £15m this week writing off £20m for the Reds.

Liverpool have moved quickly to secure the services of Sevilla forward Luis Albero who is scheduled to arrive on Merseyside on Friday for a medical ahead of a £6.8m move with the future of Luis Suarez still in the balance.

The Reds have also made significant progress to secure the services of Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet with a deal is on the brink after further talks between the two clubs.

A move is expected to be completed early next week following the signing of Kolo Toure from Manchester City on a free transfer.
