Soccerex has announced that England manager Roy Hodgson, and a senior delegation from the Football Association (FA), will be attending and speaking at the Soccerex Global Convention, which takes place in Rio de Janeiro from November 24-28.
Along with Hodgson, FA general secretary Alex Horne and Club England managing director and director of communications Adrian Bevington will be in attendance at November’s event. Horne is one of the world’s most experienced football administrators having taken up multiple roles within the FA including finance director, managing director of Wembley Stadium and chief operating officer as well as executive lead on the St. George’s Park development.
Bevington has been at the heart of the FA communication process since 1997. He said: “It is great to be involved with Soccerex again and to be speaking at this year’s Global Convention. It is a great opportunity for me to share my experiences in working with the media, at the past four World Cups but also to meet with my counterparts from across the industry and build the FA’s global network.”
Soccerex CEO, Duncan Revie, added: “We are truly delighted that the English FA has given us their full support for the Soccerex Global Convention. On the road to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Soccerex will welcome Roy, Alex and Adrian to network with potential England base camps, key government ministers and rights holders which will hopefully contribute to the success of the England team generally and in particular 2014.”
The Soccerex Global Convention is a five day business event consisting of a comprehensive seminar line-up, a number of networking opportunities, a two-day football festival and a packed exhibition which is already close to selling out.
