Manchester City buys Premier League title

It was reported today on Sky News that while Manchester City's owner Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has invested over £1 billion into the club, Manchester United's owner Malcolm Glazer has taken £0.5 billion out of the club over a seven year period.

It is not just the Premier League title that is up for grabs but it is the Global brand that follows and while failure in the domestic league will harm the Commercial worth of United it is failure in the Champions League that has the biggest effect on the bottom line.

City wants both and with the squad of players they have put together they are ahead of schedule both on and off the field.

It is estimated that to catch up on the field United will need to spend between £50 - £100 million to challenge the Blue side of the City with margins as close as 1-0 it is a massive financial gamble.
