Football News 24/7
LIFA Director Russ Horsley met with the Academy Country Director of the UYSA Kakembo Ivan at Lilleshall International Football Academy in April 2012. Russ donated footballs and sports kit to the UYSA to encourage the playing of sport, fitness and the development of youth footballing talents.

The UYSA was founded in October 2007 by a group of visionary young people in Uganda with a holistic vision to empower youth, girls and women living in urban slums of Kampala, Uganda using football. The UYSA engages Ugandan youth helping giving them the opportunity to play football as a way to get them into school in Uganda and abroad.

The Soccer Academy is affiliated to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and National Council of Sports (NCS) who provide professional soccer coaching activities in collaboration with parents to talented boys and girls between the ages of 3 to 17 years. The academy manages about 150 registered youths, and was set up by parents and supporters of talented children to give them the opportunity to train in a sport they love.
