Manchester United’s commercial director insisted that the club do not need to buy players from a continent in order to sell shirts there, as they put the loss of the £32m-rated Eden Hazard to Chelsea behind them, they are reported to be interested in the £17m acquisition of Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund.
The Japanese midfielder Kagawa, will be of great appeal to the Asia market, is reported to have agreed a deal in principle with his club Borussia Dortmund.
The 23-year-old is understood to be negotiating personal terms. The deal is in the region of £12m, rising to £17m depending on success and appearances.
"Some details are to be confirmed," Dortmund director Michael Zorc said.
