Students will pursue a nationally recognised BTEC qualification in Sport at level 2 or 3 and other nationally recognised qualifications such as functional skills and coaching awards. They will develop all aspects of their game with professional coaches in high quality facilities and learn from highly qualified tutors with many years’ experience in the industry.
This unique opportunity is based in Durham at Sherburn Leisure Centre [although games will be played off site], where young people can learn all aspects of the sport as well as gaining nationally recognised sporting qualifications, we believe this programme will provide students with the best possible options allowing them the opportunity for a future career in the sporting world, the chance to show case their skills to the sporting world, and the prospect to progress into higher education both here and in the USA.
Successful students who take part in this initiative will also have the chance to show case their ability to professional clubs during a range of friendly fixtures against professional club academies. They will also play in the ECFA a league that has seen over 75 young people progress back into professional football over the past three years.
An Open Evening will take place on 27th June 2012 at Sherborne Leisure Centre in Durham – but hurry we only have 40 places left!
Go Sport students are welcome from all areas of the North East of England.
