European football will return to Bangor for the first time in 14 years when City take on Moldovan team FC Zimbru Chişinău in the first leg of the Europa Cup first preliminary round.
The two teams came out of the hat together at the competition draw, which was held at UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland last Monday.
The match, to be played on Thursday 5 July, KO 19.45 will be at City's new Nantporth stadium - the last time the city of Bangor saw a home Euro tie was when the Citizens took on FC Haka of Finland at Farrar Road in August 1998 -and City will be hoping they'll have better luck now than on that occasion, when they went down to a 0 - 2 defeat in the old European Cup Winners' Cup.
Admission to the Zimbru Chişinău match will be by ticket only. These will be on sale from Nantporth from 09.00 on Wednesday 27 June, price £17.00 for adults, £10.00 for children up to and including the age of 16. Tickets will also be available on Wednesday evening at Nantporth, and then during normal office hours.
