England's Euro 2012 secret weapon

Banging the Drum for England Again

The Pukka Pies England Band have been given the all clear to bang the drum for England again.

The band were banned from playing at England’s Euro 2012 opener against France in Donetsk.  But after lobbying by Pukka Pies and the Football Association, UEFA have now given assurances the band will be reinstated.

The band will return to action in England’s second tournament game against Sweden in Kiev tomorrow night.

Band leader John Hemmingham said; “It’s great to be back! We’d like to thank our sponsors Pukka Pies and The FA for lobbying UEFA on our behalf.”

“Swedish fans will be outnumbering English fans four to one at the game so we’ll be doing our best to generate as much noise as possible.

A Pukka Pies spokesman said; “We are delighted that the band can bang the drum again for England.”
