Nottingham Forest ring changes with new owners

Not long after the purchase of Nottingham Forest by the Kuwaiti Al-Hasawi family boss Steve Cotterill was shown the door.

The ex Burnley and Portsmouth boss exit came after he met Forest's new owners who assumed control on Tuesday.

Cotterill took over from Steve McClaren in October and ensured Championship safety, but he has been temporarily replaced by assistant boss Rob Kelly with Glen Hoddle being a front runner to replace Cotterill.

The announcement on the club's website from the Al-Hasawi family said:

"It's an honour and privilege to assume control of this great club. We look forward towards a successful future. You can be assured of our best efforts in bringing the Reds back to the top."

More details of the takeover are to be revealed on Saturday, with the club launching its latest campaign to return to the Premier League next month.

There are surely to be more changes on the way for the former European Champions.
