The Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce the extension and expansion of Kantar Media's partnership with the Sport Industry Awards.
Kantar Media and its dedicated specialist sports and entertainment unit, KantarSport, will remain the Official Research Partner of the industry's most prestigious annual event, and the company will receive an array of marketing and branding opportunities in the build-up to the Sport Industry Awards ceremony on May 2nd, as well as on the evening itself.
In a notable development of the partnership, the leading research company's sponsorship of The Kantar Media Sport Business Achievement of the Year Award will now include a free research study designed to support the winning organisation’s business. Past winners of the prestigious Award have included the London 2012 Sponsorship Sales Team, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals and Arsenal FC, with the Premier League club rewarded following the successful completion of Emirates Stadium.
Richard Brinkman, Head of Sport at Kantar Media, said: "We are proud to continue our association with the sport industry's most popular and prestigious annual event, and delighted to be able to expand our partnership with the offering of this package to the winners of The Kantar Media Sport Business Achievement of the Year Award. We have seen some great winners in this category over the years, and we look forward to seeing which name is added to the list in 2012, working with them to help further their business objectives, and continuing to build best practice learnings throughout the industry."
Nick Keller, Chairman of the Sport Industry Group, added: "Kantar Media's decision to add this fantastic winner's research support package to its sponsorship is further proof of its belief in the ability of the Sport Industry Awards to both reward and have a positive impact on an organisation's business. I am thrilled to be continuing this partnership."
This year's Sport Industry Awards ceremony – to be held at Battersea Evolution in London on Wednesday 2nd May – will once again be a sell-out event, bringing together 1,750 key influential figures from across the world of sport. 2012’s winners will be selected from an unparalleled field of entries following a rigorous judging process fully recorded and overseen at all times by Deloitte, the Independent Scrutineer of the Sport Industry Awards and, along with Barclays and Eurosport, Official Partners of the event.
