Port Vale players in the Christmas spirit

Football News 24/7
Port Vale showed the true Christmas spirit when they landed at their local hospital today bearing christmas presents. These were donated by club Chairman, Paul Wildes, when he heard presents had been stolen from North Staffs Children's Ward.

The Port Vale players have a busy pre-Christmas schedule on the training pitch, but took time out for this visit much to the children's delight.

They will also be on hand at Vale's club shop at Vale Park between 4.30 pm and 6.00 pm on Thursday to meet and greet fans.

The visit co-incides with the club's late opening and gives fans a chance to get their last minute presents.

Shop manager Andy Burgess said:

' The club shop has taken off since the new owners took over and we are delighted with the support shown by the fans.'
