FC United of Manchester must wait until New Year

Football News 24/7

A decision on the planning application for the proposed development of a new stadium for Evostik Notrth Premier League side FC United has been delayed until the New Year.

In a club statement before Christmas it said; 'FC United would like to inform members that, having heard from all parties to the court proceedings concerning the planning permission for our ground, the Judge has today reserved his decision until the new year.

'We are sorry that we are unable to say more before the new year, but we will let members know when we know more.'

The club had hoped to get the green light for their new home in Moston but for now remain playing at Bury's Gigg Lane ground.

Both clubs have seen games posponed as the Gigg Lane pitch has had to endure more games than most through the spell of very wet weather.
