Top player to be remembered by QPR and Ireland

Football News 24/7
A Northern Ireland legends team welcome QPR legends to Seaview on 10 September to remember former captain Alan McDonald and to launch a Trust in his name. McDonald died earlier this year aged just 48 years.

The teams, managed by Pat Jennings and Gerry Francis, contain many friends and former teammates of the late Northern Ireland and QPR defender.

The Trust has been set up by Big Mac’s widow Tonia and some close friends, and will help disadvantaged and disabled children in Belfast and beyond by providing facilities and projects that will have a positive and dynamic effect on their lives through participation in sport.

The Northern Ireland legends team will contain players from the 1982 and 1986 World Cup squads as well as more present day stars such as Jim Magliton and Iain Dowie, with Ray Wilkins the standout name in the QPR line-up.

Tickets can be purchased at the Irish FA (Adults £10; Concession £7).
