The Victoria Park ground’s existing facilities were primarily standing. Arena’s installation has increased the stadium’s seating capacity by more than double, providing improved spectator comfort and pitch side viewing experience. Following the Club’s promotion Ross County FC required a rapid and efficient solution, which Arena delivered in just 12 weeks.
Arena Seating’s project manager, Tony Sainsbury, explains:
“After receiving the order in late March we designed, manufactured and installed the seating system by 30th June ready for the new sporting season. Alongside other high-profile sporting and cultural events taking place in recent months, the team have worked tirelessly to deliver this project within the short timeframe, providing an upgraded stadium for Ross County FC to move into the Premier League with.”
The 3,500 seats were installed across four stands and utilised the ground’s existing infrastructure, integrating the grandstands under current roofs and onto the tiered spectator terraces. Using kwikform scaffolding to raise the seating rapidly and cost effectively, Arena also provided rear access to the stands through the installation of seven staircases and used red, blue and white seats to brand the grandstands with the Club’s name.
Ross County Football Club Chairman, Roy MacGregor was pleased with Arena and commented:
“We had a really tight timeframe to develop the Global Energy Stadium and the advice and fast response received from the Arena team was crucial in us meeting our target dates. It was important to engage them at the early planning stage and their input, along with the quality of their product did meet all our requirements.”
