Preston North End to face debt case in High Court

Football News 24/7
Preston North End have hardly had a season to remember and boss Graham Westley has not endeared himself to the fans with just 3 wins in 19 games. North End, who currently sit 15th - five place below the position they were in when Phil Brown got the boot have underperformed big style.

To cap it all one of their most loyal supporters - Robert Casey - known as Ben Casey to his friends and colleagues has been forced to serve a High Court writ to reclaim £250,000 he lent the club in 2007.

Casey, who was instrumental in designing the new Deepdale asked for his money back in August 2010 but at that time a club director informed Casey the club couldn't pay him - the writ goes onto claim that further promises and offers have been unacceptable to Casey and he has resorted to the courts to settle the dispute.

According to the Lancashire Evening Post, Chairman Peter Risdale declined to comment on the pending action.
