The Apprentices – well, most of them – completed their 24 Hour Footballathon on Saturday and raised £160.
During Saturday’s match between Margate and Horsham a bucket collection raised £95 and a Half Time penalty Competition raised a further £27. Margate Youth player Marley Ramsden won the competition and went home with a signed match ball.
Another signed match ball was auctioned with Terry Scott placing the successful bid at £50.
In addition, a £30 donation was received by the club for Sport Relief.
Margate Chief Executive Cliff Egan said: “This is a tremendous effort by our supporters and a great demonstration of the community spirit at the club.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in and donated to such a wonderful cause.”
