Robert Elstone the CEO at Everton Football Club visited Chester Business School to give an insight of business in the beautiful game to students and local business people on how a successful club operates from day to day.
Elstone, who CV includes accountants Deloitte, was initially appointed as deputy CEO of Everton in 2005, having forged a commanding reputation as an expert into sports business.
In his time at Everton, Elstone introduced a number of key organisational and structural changes that have led to improved financial performance, greater stability in the business and a strong, empowered management team. He has developed a four-pronged operating strategy, designed to grow the club’s fan base, build loyalty and deliver business growth.
Elstone has been attributed with substantial commercial progress in retail, sponsorship and ticketing.
