Manchester United are reported to have over 300 million fans worldwide, of which 56 million are based in the Middle East so it is not surprising that Arabic telecommunications company du want to offer its UAE fans exclusive access to club related content.
United have signed a two-year deal will allow du customers exclusive access to assigned content throughout the year on their mobile phones.
United spokesman, Richard Arnold, said of the deal
“The partnership with du extends our coverage to our 56 million fans in the Middle East even further and we’re delighted to have found a partner that can give our supporters in the country a premier service of updates, exclusives and action.”
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson, added:
“In recent years, the club has grown very close links with the Middle East and we know from our visits there that the fans are as loyal and as passionate about the team as anyone.
"To be able to address them directly is incredible and the network of deals that we are building up means that more and more fans can feel involved with what happens at United,”
Through the sponsorship agreement, du customers will be able to keep up with the latest images, news, games and more related to the club.
