The good news always comes in three's? Newcastle United are reported to be in discussion with two potential partners in Nike and Virgin Money, what will be the third announcement?
First the rumour that Nike are interested in purchasing the naming rights to the Sports Direct Arena stadium, St James Park to the supporters.
Secondly, Richard Branson's Virgin Money, who are to buy Northern Rock, are in talks with the club over replacing Northern Rock as shirt sponsor of the Premier League football team.
The current deal runs out at the end of the Premier League season in May next year. The Northern Rock deal with the Magpies was estimated to be around £4m a year.
While discussions are ongoing as to whether Virgin Money will be the new shirt sponsor, such a move is great PR for Virgin Money in Newcastle and with the big football fan base in the North-East, where the bank's branches are located.
