Investec, Tottenham Hotspurs current shirt sponsors for cup competitions, have expanded their deal with the North London club which will see them sponsor the tour of South Africa during the pre-season ahead of the 2011/12 campaign.
The club will work with the South African based sponsor on a series of activities during the course of their stay in South Africa for the Vodacom Challenge including coaching sessions with the club and the Investec Soccer League, an Investec social investment initiative.
In July 2010, Investec became the clubs first cup shirt sponsor, which meant the company’s name and logo was on the clubs playing shirts during the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup competitions.
Stephen Koseff of Investec said: "We are very proud to be supporting Tottenham Hotspur on our home turf in South Africa this winter where they will be playing their pre season tour.”
"After reaching the quarter finals of the Champions League and enjoying a hugely successful first season as cup competition shirt sponsor, Investec looks forward to welcoming the team to South Africa and introducing them to some of our wonderful projects."
Daniel Levy, Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, added: "We are delighted that Investec will be supporting our tour of South Africa in July. Since becoming the Club’s cup competition shirt sponsor we have enjoyed an exciting run in the Champions League, reaching the Quarter Finals of the competition. Spurs has a special relationship with South Africa and there is a great synergy between the two brands, which we are looking forward to further developing during the course of this year.”
