Rovers director resigns after 15 years service with club

Blackburn Rovers Football Club managing director Tom Finn has stepped down from his role and left the Barclays Premier League side.

Finn, who departs after 15 years with the Lancashire outfit, follows John Williams who resigned as chairman in February following the takeover by Venky’s last year.

Finn told the club’s official site: "Whilst sad to be moving on, I believe the time is right for me and the club. The owners are putting in place their plans for how the club is to operate going forward, such as the appointment of Paul Hunt who joins the club this week [as deputy chief executive].

"Blackburn Rovers might not enjoy the fanbase of some of its Premier League rivals, but no one should doubt the supporters' passion and commitment for their club."

Rovers have yet to comment on Finn’s successor.
