QPR vice chairman resigns

Amit Bhatia has resigned from his role as Vice Chairman of newly promoted Queens Park Rangers.

Bhatia, who represents the Mittal family that own a majority share of the club, is said to have resigned over a disagreement with the clubs board’s decision to hike the season ticket price by 40% and also the sacking of former Chairman Ishan Saksena.

The Mittal family also have failed in the bid to buy the club from fellow co-owners.

The QPR board however have stated that the rise in prices puts the club in line with the other London based Premier League football clubs.
