Zamaretto League side Taunton Town Football Club has lost nearly £5,000 after main sponsor Churchill chartered accountants came into financial difficulty.
The Taunton based firm, who continues to sponsor the town’s ruby club, went into administration in November last year and has since reformed but has had to end its three year deal with the Peacocks, who are currently in the Zamaretto Division One South & West.
Speaking to the Somerset County Gazelle, club chairman Key Sturmey said: "It’s a big blow and a major hole in our finances, but isn’t catastrophic, although 12 months ago it would have been.
"Because of what we’re doing and have achieved from sponsorship, we can cope with it.
"We’re in talks with a number of people about a new major sponsor."
