Bristol Rovers Football Club finance director Toni Watola has said the npower League One side is working towards its new stadium four years after planning permission was received.
The delay to the 18,000 seater rebuild of the Memorial Stadium has frustrated some fans although Watola claimed the club is hoping it reveal a timescale for the project soon.
"We will end up with a new ground, there is no doubt about that. It's just about timing," Watola said.
He continued: "The markets are starting to free up but we need a little bit more before we can make an announcement about timing.
"We are working very hard in the background and we did sign some paperwork last week with a funder that takes us a little bit closer.
"We are moving but it is at a slow pace. It will be done when we can add all the numbers up."
The current Memorial Stadium has a capacity of just over 12,000.
