Nuneaton Town Football Club has appointed David Allen as the Blue Square Bet North side’s new finance director.
Allen, who has previously held positions at Atherstone Town and Bedworth United, represents the Nuneaton’s ‘ambition for the club moving forward will be reliant on accurate budgeting , financial planning and improving the information week by week to allow it to ensure an ever increasing compliance with Football directives and regulatory requirements.’
Commenting on the appointment, Town chairman Neale said: "Dave fits in with goals of the club and his ability to bring his support and diligence to it the adds a further skill-set improving the current board; I am very much looking forward to Dave having a big influence in driving our aims and ambitions on further."
Allen added: "I am delighted to accept a position of director of my home-town club Nuneaton Town. I remember as a lad standing at Manor Park watching the likes of Norman Ashe, Malcolm Allen, Tony Richards and Fred Crump amongst a list that is endless with such happy memories.
"When approached by Ian Neale to become a part of the club it soon became obvious that I would accept. Nuneaton Town has come such a long way in the last three or four years and I relish the opportunity to help further the development and ambitions that Ian Neale and the board have."
Allen takes his place as part of an extended five-man board of professional directors and businessmen.
