Former England and Aston Villa manager Graham Taylor has been confirmed as an ambassador for this year’s Grass Roots Football Show.
Taylor has a long association with the show which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from the 3rd-5th June.
As well as a career as a manager Taylor will also be sharing his experience in the board room as current chairman of Watford FC.
He said: "Grass roots football is something that I passionately believe in and it is vitally important we encourage more children and adults to take part in the game we love.
"The Grass Roots Football Show is the best of its kind in Europe and is now a permanent fixture on the football calendar and something I look forward to every year.
"During my time as a football manager, whether day to day at the clubs or on the training camps with England, my coaching staff and I were always looking to stay ahead of the game and embrace the latest training techniques and equipment.
"The Grass Roots Football Show offers the opportunity for all of the football family to meet under one roof, learn from each other and most importantly enjoy football as it should be enjoyed."
Joanna Burns, director of Grass Roots Football, added: "Graham Taylor is one of the iconic figures of the Grass Roots Football Show and we are delighted that he will be joining us again this year.
"His passion for football at all levels is unbelievable and his seminars have been some of the stand out moments of the show in recent years."
Taylor joins other football figures attending including Robbie Savage, Chris Coleman, Peter Taylor and Tosh Farrell who have been confirmed for the event. For more information visit www.grassrootsfootball.co.uk/.
