The announcement of the Evo-Stik sponsorship of the Southern Leagues is a big boost for clubs such as Leighton Town Football Club.
The initial three-year sponsorship deal with the adhesives and sealants manufacturer will see a focus on club development and community engagement within all three divisions, with the new sponsor keen to promote both club and league wide initiatives.
Evo-Stik’s are existing sponsors of the Northern Premier Football League which now unites the North v South divide.
Southern League chairman Ken Turner, said: “All of the clubs in the league rely heavily on sponsorship and the financial support they receive from the league and its sponsors.
“In the current climate a new league sponsor is great news for us all, and to have attracted a household name like Evo-Stik can only help us to drive our profile even further next season.”
The news will be welcome boost to Leighton with the club still looking to appoint a new chairman following Iain McGregor’s decision to stand down.
It’s hoped the sponsorship deal with Evo-Stik – who replace Zamaretto as the Southern League’s title sponsor – will free up some funds for first team manager Sean Downey to work with ahead of Leighton’s new Division One Central season.
