Corby Town Football Club has landed a one-year principal shirt sponsorship deal with Tata Steel, Europe’s second largest steel producer.
The Blue Square Bet North side will carry the Tate Steel brand on its playing kit in a relationship which the club’s acting chairman hopes to extend beyond the initial one season.
"We are naturally delighted that Tata Steel, as one of the biggest employers in the town of Corby, has agreed to become our principle sponsor. This agreement initially covers a single season, but we hope it is the beginning of a mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationship with the club,” Steelmen acting chairman David Mallinger commented.
"It is a major boost for us ahead of an exciting time in the club's history and we can't wait to develop the possibilities that this partnership will offer Corby Town."
Town is currently hoping to move to Rockingham Triangle for the 2011/12 season. The £1.5m, Corby Borough Council owned stadium holds 3,500 spectators.
