The Keele International Cup kicks-off next week and for the first time the competition will have a football trade show running alongside it.
Widely regarded as one of the most important football tournaments in the UK, the Keele Cup, formerly the Umbro Cup, is in its second year of being located at Keele University in Staffordshire.
More than 250 clubs will be participating in this year’s event from Wednesday 27th July with finals set to take place on Saturday 30th July and more than 10,000 players, coaches and fans are expected to attend. A wide range of clubs are registered to participate in this year’s tournament, including teams from abroad and several professional football clubs.
The inaugural trade show will take place on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th July at the Keele University Sports Arena with free entrance and free parking for all.
A wide range of exhibitors have already signed up to attend including Umbro, Soccerade, Reusch Goalkeeping Academy, WackySox, British Sports Museum, Pukka Pies, STA Travel, Wear The Shirt, Soccer Matrix, S1 Shinguards and RP Photographic as well as a number of other football related businesses including team wear manufacturers, equipment suppliers, insurance companies and football merchandise producers.
This is the first year of the Keele Cup’s trade show, but it is already regarded as the largest free football trade show in the UK and with the support of the exhibitors and attendees it is hoped that it will go from strength to strength.
