The team wear market is an ultra-competitive one with teams from all levels able to choose from a multitude of suppliers. Here at Football Trade Directory we deal with many of the best suppliers in the business and it is good to be able to report a good news story for one of our longest serving partnerships – that with Vandanel Premier.
The brand is very well known not just in professional circles but as an iconic grass roots brand that is supplied across the UK
It’s no secret Vandanel’s original owners ran into financial difficulties and there was a danger this time last year that the brand could disappear. But when a business is on life support you need a safe pair of hands to administer the right medicine – and that’s what Spencer Guinchard the new MD and majority owner of the new Vandanel has done.
Spencer has applied his service and delivery skills (gained through fantastic success in the video games industry) to the kit market. They have a brand new, computerised warehouse in the centre of the country at Milton Keynes – which ensures speedy distribution – a new system for ensuring customer orders are dealt with promptly, and above all a fantastic new catalogue of team wear at affordable prices.
Vandanel is alive and well and through a network of agents around the country is expanding its market share. Their links with the professional game have not been forgotten however, as Gillingham are about to launch their 2011/12 teamwear which includes one of the most striking away shirts that will be seen this season.
Spencer told FTD’ “This has been an exciting but demanding year for Vandanel Premier. We have continued to use innovative design to produce great quality products , maintaining our position as a premium supplier to both grass roots and professional clubs.
"We know that sport requires commitment, effort and teamwork and we strive to reflect these core values in our business.”
