Aldershot Town Football Club has announced the appointment of four new board members with director Tony Cotugno standing down.
Ian Dawkins, Per Breimyr, Damon Walker and Shahid Azeem will join the Npower League Two side for an initial three month period whilst Cotungo ends a two year spell as a director to focus on other projects.
A statement from Aldershot chief executive Peter Duffy said: “Last week I reinforced the board’s intention that we build a sustainable future for our Football Club, in the Football League, by establishing it as a viable business for decades to come.
"To achieve this, it is vitally important that we formulate a clear vision and that we set ourselves meaningful and ambitious targets, with milestones. We will then establish our strategy to delivery these.
"Integral to that strategy will be a three-to-five year financial plan, which will enable us to model costs and revenues under different scenario, e.g. a base case and a more optimistic case.
"I am delighted to announce the appointments to the board as non-executive directors for a period of approximately three months."
Duffy also paid tribute to the outgoing Cotungo. "Tony has provided continuity during a turbulent period for the board of directors. He leaves with our best wishes and we hope that one day he may return to the board," Duffy added.
