Hull City owners want to purchase stadium

Hull City Football Club owners Assem and Ehab Allam are hoping to purchase the Npower Championship side’s KC Stadium.

The 25,000 seater stadium cost £46m in 2002 and Ehab Allam confirmed they wish to add the ground to their purchases after spending £40m acquiring the club.

Ehab Allam said: "We have not yet had chance to get stuck into the 'nitty gritty' details, but that is our aspiration.  We do not know if the council are prepared to sell."

If the duo can attain the ground it is believed they would look to expand its capacity to around 38,000.
