The Blue Square Bet Premier side was put up for sale back in October last year with the Harriers in financial difficulty and the club still currently owe around £100,000. The Harriers board initially rejected an offer from Swan in December but the two parties have now agreed a deal.
A statement on the club’s official site read: “The club can confirm that it has received a formal offer from businessman Chris Swan to take over the club going forward.
“The board of directors can confirm that it has agreed, subject to contract, to all conditions within Mr. Swan's offer for which it has responsibility.”
Earlier in January chairman Mark Serrell warned that the club had weeks rather than months to survive although it is now expected that Swan's takeover will ease the pressure on the club’s financial position.
