FAW latest to be linked with Vauxhall

The Football Association of Wales is expected to sign its biggest ever sponsorship deal with Vauxhall, following the English FA in agreeing a deal with the car manufacturer.

Last week the Football Trade Directory reported that the English FA had agreed a deal thought to be worth in the region of £5m per year and now the FAW, who also saw their deal with Nationwide come to an end, will sign a deal which will surpass their £500,000 a year deal with Nationwide.

FAW chief executive Jonathan Ford has made a new sponsorship deal a top priority after overseeing a new crest as he seeks to rebrand the FAW.

The length of any potential deal is unknown although the English FA is expected to sign a four year deal with Vauxhall.
