Bradford City Football Club has agreed a four year deal with Nike which will see the club work with the kit supplier’s UK professional football club partner, Just Sport Pro Club.
Under the deal, which commences from the 2011/12 season, Just Sport Club will operate Bradford’s retail arm including club superstore, which will be completely refurbished, and online store.
City's director of operations David Baldwin said: "Given the situation of having a brand like Nike at Bradford City, we felt this was a positive step.
"The nature of the deal is linked to the revenue streams that the shop brings in. That will be a direct benefit to the football club
"The club just felt that the chance to work with such a huge internationally renowned brand like Nike was too good to refuse.
"We will not be a getting an 'off the self' kit from Nike, they will be designing a kit purely for us using the club's own individual pantone colours."
Mike Heslop, sales director of Just Sport Pro Club, added: "Bradford are such a huge club and clearly have the biggest fan base in the division they are in.
"We take the retail arm of the club and develop the store, the online business and put all the products in. It's a worldwide brand and one that people want to be associated with."
