Wrexham Football Club has two parties interested in taking over the Blue Square Bet Premier side including the club’s current management team.
Businessman Stephen Cleeve has declared his intentions to acquire the club as well as its Racecourse ground and training facilities whilst chairman Robert Bickerton, commercial director Jon Harris and chief executive Tony Allan have also submitted a bid.
The latest takeover speculation comes after Van Morton Investments withdrew their interest following a number of threats from unhappy fans.
Cleeve told The Leader: "Yes I am certainly interested in buying Wrexham FC together with The Racecourse stadium and the Collier’s Park training ground.
"I have signed a confidentiality agreement and at this stage I can’t go into a great deal of detail about what is happening.
"However, I ask Wrexham fans to be patient. They will be very pleased with the outcome if the plans do proceed. My hope is to make this happen in weeks, not months."
Current chairman Bickerton revealed they had made their bid on Friday.
"We now await a response and we are continuing to run the club for the best interests of Wrexham FC," Bickerton said.
