Bury Town Football Club has signed a retail partnership with sporting firm Intersport.
Under the deal the Ryman Isthmian League Premier Division side’s local Intersport shop will dedicate a space of its store to selling Bury Town merchandise which commercial assistant Mike Rayner hopes will help the club in its push to Blue Square Bet North.
"The fact of the matter is that Bury Town FC is doing pretty good," Rayner said.
"Our aim is to get this football club to step one Non-League football and that is the Blue Square Premier.
"This club is moving in the right direction under manager Richard Wilkins, but we need to make sure the funds are in place. The higher you move up, the more money you need to compete with the bigger teams.
"We want to get more income and the deal with Intersport is a great start."
"It is a two-way deal between the two parties," added Rayner.
