The Northern Trust Group give financial boost to the Magpies

Football News 24/7
Chorley FC, rocked by financial irregularities earlier in the season (now subject to Police action) has received a double boost over the Christmas period. Since the Chorley Guardian confirmed that £5,000 had been donated by local firms, schools and individuals in their ‘Save the Magpies’ campaign, the Directors of Chorley FC have also donated a further £2,500 to pay some outstanding invoices.

Following this announcement The Northern Trust Group have now matched this with an additional £7,500 which enables the Club to pay part of the outstanding amounts of Tax, National Insurance and VAT to HMRC.

The club have expressed their gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has rallied to the aid of the club, especially during what is already and expensive time of year.

According to the Club's official website, this £15,000 is a massive financial boost and comes at a time when the club needed it the most.  The club is still not in the clear, but this news is timely.
