Albert Square isn’t the only place to find Manchester's famous December markets this festive season.
For the first time in the Club’s history, Manchester City Football Club have put their own spin on proceeding by hosting their own version of the Christmas Markets.
Launched in City Square (the Club’s pre-match entertainment zone), the December ‘Match-day Markets’, seen stalls featuring food and gifts from across the Continent in full swing, before City’s clash with Norwich on Saturday.The markets will continue throughout December for the Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Stoke games.
Nick Becker – Head of Event Production for Manchester City, said:“The December markets are loved by everyone in Manchester, and with City Square, we have the ideal setting to put our stamp on what is a great day out for fans and families alike”.
The markets were also open for the Club’s famous Santa Stroll yesterday, which will once again seen thousands of Blues fans adorn sky blue Santa Suits and race around the Etihad Stadium in aid of the Club’s charities.

Football memorabilia traders
MCFC and Manchester photography stalls
I Love Manchester
Harvey Nichols ‘Pop up stall’
Food stalls include:
Traditional bratwurst Bavarian sausage
Crepes, pancakes and hot chocolate
Regional produce will also be on offer in the form of the latest food sensation to hit the North West, the ‘Manchester Egg’
Blue Moon Cafe and the Summerbee Bar will also be open.
In addition to the winter wonderland, City fans can also expect live bands and DJs, and famous sports and celeb guests at part of their usual pre-match build up in City Square.
