Wrexham Just Glad to Be Playing

Football News 24/7
Wrexham face Cambridge United in Saturday's Blue Square Premier game after getting the go ahead to start the season earlier this week.

The club was required to deposite a bond of £250,000 with the league by 5.00 pm on Monday. Whilst this deadline was not fully met, a statement from the Conference on Tuesday confirmed they were satisfied the funds were on their way.

A further technical issue with the clubs lease also had to be ironed out.

The news has delighted boss Dean Saunders and he has signed former Premiership player, Glen Little on a short term contract. Prior to that the club faced a transfer embargo because of their financial plight.
