Stocksbridge Park Steels FC have received a huge financial boost at the start of the campaign by signing up VINCI Construction UK as a sponsor.
The Sheffield club currently run 16 teams with over 350 players, with ages ranging from five and beyond. The club recently received FA Charter Standard Community Club status and club chairman Allen Bethel said that the support from VINCI would allow those teams to continue running: "The club is very grateful for this support from VINCI, as it is always difficult finding funds to run so many teams through various age groups.
"VINCI are one of the few multi-national organisations in this country who support local community football. The club provides a way for hundreds of young people to get involved in a positive and healthy way of using their spare time."
VINCI Construction UK are already involved in the local community due to their work on the new Stocksbridge High School and they were keen to reinvest in the community.
Gary Finney, contracts manager at VINCI Construction said: "We were keen to invest in the local community and to build on the work we are doing at Stocksbridge High School.
"We know this is a thriving football club with players drawn from several age groups in the town, so we hope this gives them all a boost and the club has a really successful season."
