Kettering Town have doubled their season-ticket sales following a move to Rushden & Diamonds' Nene Park stadium.
Despite initial opposition from fans, the Blue Square Premier club went ahead with plans to take over the ground from Rushden & Diamonds who went into administration at the end of last season. The club play their first home game of the season away from their old Rockingham Road stadium on Saturday when they face Newport County.
Speaking on BBC Radio Northampton, chairman Imraan Ladak said: "Last year we sold 500 season tickets and now we're at around 1,000. Initially our supporters were against the move - but that's changed because we've been really honest with them.'
"We've explained the situation at Rockingham Road and they've realised there's no option. Once the decision to move had been made there were still fans who weren't happy.
"But now we're looking at way over 95% of them coming with us."
