Sheffield United have concluded a unique commercial deal which will see the Yorkshire club take a shareholding in Hong Kong based Nexis Holdings.
Listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Nexus Holdings are predominantly focused on technology which turns waste into building materials.
The League One football club has said that it will receive a significant number of shares in the deal with Nexus Holdings getting their name on the club's shirts. Shareholders at Bramall Lane will also be able to purchase up to 100 shares for a small administrative charge.
Speaking about the deal Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe said: "Nexis is an emerging organisation in growth sectors which are going to be dominant in coming years. This is a great opportunity for Nexis to increase their profile and build contacts in the UK.
"A football club the size of ours will offer Nexis great exposure in the UK. We are delighted to have concluded this groundbreaking partnership and expect all concerned to find it very beneficial."
